AFRICA TRIO: ODUNO - DIOUF & MOORE
Worldbeats Creative - Senegal - Kenya - Germany
"Worldbeats Creative" is the right description for the excellent African trio's music. Jane Moore, a world-class singer from Kenya, Mame Fara Diouf from Senegal, who plays concerts worldwide with his perfect, intensive and passionate drumming and the founder of the trio ...
...Siliano Oduno, as drummer and percussionist, who sounds African/Caribbean, according to Uwe Witsch of the Rheinische Post who wrote about Oduno's band "I and I".
" By now he sounds so "original" as if he had grown up in Africa", said Michael Scheffler from the Stadtkurier Neuss.
The trio captivated the audience from the very beginning at the Culture and Music Festival in Waldbröl in 2012 during the big open-air opening event on Saturday 25/08/2012 with danceable music from reggae to afro-pop, combined with traditional melodies. Three different cultures met: Kenya, Senegal and Germany, united in wonderfully beautiful arrangements, which will move the audience at the concerts with their simplicity and clarity.
Oduno's multi-faceted melodic and rhythmic playing on an arsenal of pots (http://www.king-of-pots.de/) is an unforgettable memory for many viewers. If you wanted to see the trio in action before, you could have attended the big "Mit Afrika-Festival" on the grounds of the Chocolate Museum in Cologne, where the group performed on Saturday 28 July 2012. Around 3,000 fans listened enthusiastically to the extraordinarily upbeat African-European grooving sounds, exactly in line with the theme of the "MitAfrika-Festival".
Siliano Oduno, is also well-known to many concert goers in the Oberberg region for his excellent percussion performances together with other renowned musicians. His multifaceted melodic and rhythmic playing on an arsenal of pots is a memorable experience and was also well received at his concert in Hamburg in April 2011 and at the MAK 2012 in Cologne. The individual pots are not tuned harmoniously. But that is the charm of the steeldrum-like music.
In 2010 he launched a fresh show called "Loops & Worldbeats". Extraordinary sounds and rhythms inspired the people of Waldbröl. His brilliant vibraphone performance on a synthetic drum kit surprised and enthused the audience, as did his groovy, melodic solo "band interlude", created on sound pads with an electric guitar, bass, drums and effects. Oduno has played in various African bands. "Siliano Oduno sounds African", Uwe Witsch from the Rheinische Post said about Oduno's band "I and I". " By now he sounds so "original" as if he had grown up in Africa", said Michael Scheffler from the Stadtkurier Neuss.
