Siliano OdunoThe drummer, percussionist, composer and arranger has been surrounded by music styles from Africa, Caribbean, Latin America, Kuba, Jamaica and international pop since his early youth.
As an eight-year-old boy, he was already drumming on everything he could reach with his hands.
Together with his brother he made his first albums (tapes) and his musical curiosity and love of experimenting became evident.
1978 - 1982 he completed an additional drum, percussion and vibraphone training with a renowned drummer, who especially encouraged his talent for improvisation. He played hundreds of concerts with various bands, gained experience as a studio musician and used the following instruments for his compositions:
Drums, percussion (vibraphone, congas, djembe, cajon, timbales ...), as well as keyboards and vocals.

He is a state-approved artist in word, sound and image. An expression of his multifaceted creativity.
He toured successfully with a guitar player as a duo across Germany with the show "Strings & Percussion". Live recordings of several concerts were made, resulting in a sales MC. (MC=Music-Cassettes).
The musicians parted ways musically following a grand finale concert in the Stadthalle in Neuss, while at the height of interest. While his partner pursued solo guitar projects, Siliano Oduno accompanied very different bands as a drummer and percussionist.

His own project "I and I" [ Videos ] made it to the stage of the renowned Tor3 in Düsseldorf within only 6 weeks. The song "La musica es mi mundo" composed by Siliano Oduno was produced in a studio in Düsseldorf shortly before that and made it to the surrounding regional stations and the WDR (West German Broadcasting Corporation) during these six weeks.
The nine-piece band performed a hot and danceable concept with a mixture of afro-pop and reggae.
It was important to him early on not only to handle the media, but also to test them, to experience them personally, to learn from them and to use this knowledge for his career.
Siliano Oduno travelled to many countries as a musician and photographer to broaden his horizons: South Africa, Namibia, Tunisia, Turkey, Japan, China, the USA, France, Great Britain, Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Portugal incl. the Azores, Spain, Malta, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece. So, there are still a few things to discover.
Siliano Oduno later developed the new concept "Worldbeats-Creative" with the Kenyan singer Janet Moore and the Senegalese percussionist Fara Diouf. This show was premiered at the Culture and Music Festival in Waldbröl.
This was followed by further appearances at an extensive open-air festival [ Videos ] in the Bergisch area with approx. 1,500 enthusiastic fans.
July 2012 at the big "Mit-Afrika-Festival" in Cologne with about 3,000 spectators. His original compositions were performed for the first time at this festival, which are now also featured in Siliano Oduno's debut album in a new dance version.
